About KAB Electric

Founded in 2003, KAB Electric serves customers within a 60 mile radius of Joplin, Missouri, that includes Southwest Missouri, Southeast Kansas, Northeast Oklahoma, and Northwest Arkansas. We will travel to other areas for large projects. Contact us for information.

It is our goal to be the best electrical contractor in this area: the highest quality, the most efficient at meeting project deadlines, the most professional in neatness, the best value in our job pricing, and the most superior in customer service.

All of our KAB Electric employees have been trained and have apprenticed under Ray Uber, President of the company, and a 20 plus year electrician, with a Master Electrician license.

KAB Electric will take on any challenge. We often have clients tell us that other electricians were not able to do their project.

We are licensed, bonded, and insured local electricians and we are a no nonsense company that works on residential, commercial, and industrial proudly serving  Carl Junction, Webb City, Neosho, Joplin, Carthage, Seneca, Galena, Baxter Springs, Oronogo, Carterville, Pineville, Sarcoxie, and the surrounding areas.

About the Owners

Ray and Kellee Uber:  Ray and Kellee are high school sweethearts, having been married 25 years!  They have been KAB Electric business partners for over ten years. Both have been Carl Junction residents and have been involved in business and work in the Joplin area most of their lives.  Ray attended schools in SE Kansas, Webb City, and Carl Junction.  While he worked for many electrical subcontractors in the Webb City and Joplin area soaking up knowledge, skill, and experience, he planned for the day when he could build his own business and help as many people as possible with their electrical needs.  In 2003, with just his personal garage, his old Ford truck, a collection of tools, and his 11 years of residential, commercial, and industrial electrical experience, Ray turned his dream into KAB Electric.  Kellee is a Missouri Southern alumni with a banking and business background which enhances her ability to work with customers and general contractors and make their working relationship with KAB a great one!  When Ray and Kellee are not attending the many activities and sporting events that the four Uber kids are in, their family enjoys boating, camping, ATVing, shooting pool, and watching NFL football.

Ray and Kellee are members of Chambers of Commerces, the Home Builders Association, Tri-State Contractors Association, and attend the Carl Junction Methodist Church.

In 2011, KAB remodeled a historical commercial building into the current home of KAB at 404 E Water St, in the business district of Carl Junction MO.

Their secret to a successful business: stay up to date on the newest technologies in their field, constantly educate themselves in new trends and modern installations, put the very best materials and tools in the hands of the areas very best tradesmen, work quickly and efficiently to control client costs, and listen to the needs and concerns of the smartest people they know…the customers!.

What's in a Name?

The "K", "A", and the "B" are the first letters of the first names of the Uber's three boys: Keese, Allec, and Brayden. Jenna, the youngest came along after the company was founded in 2003…."KABJ" would have been a little more difficult to pronounce. The Uber's and their employees, Aaron Peterson, Nathan Rea, and Justin Henson are very family oriented.
